We live surrounded by reviews that don't look. Endless lists of specs, unboxings disguised as opinions, and comparisons that repeat what the manufacturer already says. Lots of information. Little criteria.

Doctor Z was born to fill that void. This is not your typical photography blog. It's a field validation space, where cameras, lenses, and audiovisual creation tools are analyzed from real use, accumulated experience, and an author's gaze that doesn't bow to trends or marketing campaigns. Here, we don't read brochures. We make decisions.

Who is behind the viewfinder?

I am a freelance photographer based in Barcelona. I have spent years proving that a new sensor doesn't make you a better creator if you don't know exactly what's limiting you. That's why my analysis runs away from the noise. My goal is to educate in visual aesthetics and help you invest consciously, whether you're an image enthusiast making the leap to the professional world, or a veteran looking to optimize your workflow.

What will you find in this space?

Here I speak the language of creativity, translating the most complex technical jargon into real impact on your work. For me, optimism and a good sense of humor are better tools than any camera. In this blog you will find:
